Committee Reports: 

 

Treasurer – Joe – Discussed trailer purchase.  Alan M will check with Menards for pricing.  Group agreed to move forward with purchase.  Discussion was held= on how to put money back into funds after this purchase.  Mary reviewed a fundraiser opportunity with Pizza Ranch and will bring this up to the scouts.

 

Advancement - Stephe= n has 10 months to make Eagle –will need some help ensuring that he is moving forward on track.

 

Ready for Life Scout Status= – Kyle, Michael A, William.

 

Ready for 2nd Class Status – Gary N, Geoff= rey

 

Ready for 1st Class Status - Geoffrey

Summer Updates:

 

White River cleanup was successful and the scouts = had a good time.

 

Summer Camp – Everyth= ing went well, largest turnout that the troop has had a camp.  Only one minor injury and it was n= oted that William did a great job dealing with the injury and keeping the scout calm.

 

Pancake Fund Raiser –= profit was about $8.25 a scout, the next fundraiser should be more successful since some of the staples are already purchased.

 

Junior Leader Training – was held the weekend of 8/27 and follo= wing are the assignments:

All boys in a leadership role should attend the Patrol Leaders Counci= l on the last Monday of the month.  Committee members need to mentor leadership positions.

 

Cliff reviewed the troop planning worksheet and the themes that the scouts selected.      

 

 

New Business:=

 

Summer Camp 06’ ̵= 1; concerns were raised as to how many scouts would be of appropriate age to do the activities.  Discussion on whether we do both Gerber and Virginia.&nb= sp; If we want to camp at Gerber, we should select a date soon.  This needs to be discussed with the Scouts.

 

Alan would like each commit= tee member to become more involved with planning and organizing the outings.

 

Troop handbook was reviewed= and given the go ahead to be passed out at the picnic.
